JUTLAND - THE HIGH SEA FLEET
Having successfully completed a second Gefechtskehrtwendung (battle-about-turn), Scheer's battleships, led by the Konig, head east in a single line toward the British Grand Fleet 10 miles away. The maneouvre required all ships to execute a 16-point turn to starboard simultaneously and the picture shows the High Sea Fleet shortly after engaging the British 2nd Light Cruiser Squadron at the rear of the British line.
